Lookout (2003) a relatively small fire (21 km2) and Jenny, also a smaller fire, provided more than 5 active channel comparison from different years, after the fire. In the case of Lookout, the active channel area has been decreasing each year after the fire. This means there has been more deposition, rather than erosion in the channels.

In the case of Jenny, we can see an increase in active channel within the first five (1st stream order) and seven (second stream order), then gradually decreasing. This means that erosion was predominant in the first few years, followed by deposition in the next years.
