background?

Is the vessel a brown ware?
If YES, go to Page 3.
If NO, continue to the next question.
Is the vessel red-slipped?
If YES, go to Page 4.
If NO, continue to the next question.
Is the vessel black-slipped?
If YES, go to the page on Ramos Black.
If NO, the vessel may not be from the Casas Grandes culture. Other
possible explanations include misfiring, refiring, or a vessel that falls
outside the recognized types.
