Mathcad assignments need to be accessed via the web. You need to run them on PCs that have MATHCAD [version 8] running on them. PCs available on CAMPUS are in the science and engineering ESC POD, behind the library. The PCs in the SOUTH annex of the POD are set up for these exercises.
The assignments below are available for you to look at as a webpage [click on HTML]. This allows you to use ANY computer with a web browser to look over the assignment. If you need to change parameters or values, you HAVE to click on the MATHCAD link and load the file into the program MATHCAD.
The MATHCADS will be graded. You need to answer all questions in the exercise, and if you are asked to plot a specific graph or set of data, you need to print this from the MATHCAD program.
by running MATHCAD
1) FTP [recommended method!!!] :
If you are on one of the PC's in the ESC pod:
a. PUT one of your floppies into the a: drive

g: at the Remote File prompt, type "~pchem/FTP/filename.mcd"
h: at the Local File prompt type "a:\filename.mcd"
2) If you have your own computer, with MATHCAD on it, and you are using Internet EXPLORER:
Click on the word "Mathcad download" associated with any assignment.
(Either explorer will OPEN the file automatically, or ask you if you wish to open it)
