Before starting the VO2max test, what should the Exercise Science technician do? Collect 1 minute of resting data to check to ensure all VO2, Heart Rate and RER values are physiologically accurate before starting the test.

As an Exercise Science technician, what is your #1 special consideration? Subject safety. Always watch the subject closely during the test. AND stop the test immediately if any unusual signs/symptoms are observed.

What are some signs/symtoms that you should stop the VO2max test? Chest pain, dizziness, light headed feeling, shortness of breath, cramping, etc.
