Objective
This
projects goal is to identify sites where inundation, from 5,000 cubic feet per
second (cfs) flows, reaches the levees on the Isleta
to San Acacia Reach in order to help identify Priority Maintenance Sites. 5,000
cfs was chosen because of the amount of overbanking,
a common recurrence interval, and during these conditions levee repairs have
been needed. The Isleta to San Acacia
Reach is located south of Albuquerque and North of Socorro. The downstream
boundary is near San Acacia Diversion Dam at River Mile 116. The upstream
boundary is near Bosque Farm at River Mile 164. River Mile 0 is located at
Elephant Butte Dam.
