SERVICE SUMMARY: Administers and provides direct services through various local, state, and federally funded programs that provides a wide range of services to individuals, businesses, and families. Emphasis on high drop out rates; special barriers to employment among "high risk" youth; employment of welfare recipients; persons with disabilities, senior workers; long-term unemployed displaced workers; and economic development and private sector support of employment and training programs for economically disadvantaged. Also provides for comprehensive planning and needs assessment. Planning and administration of JTPA programs. Provides staff support to the Albuquerque Business Education Compact.
