Developing Graded Exercise Protocols

This program allows the user to develop incremental or graded exercise protocols to use for testing cardiorespiratory endurance fitness.  The program is designed to provide the user with feedback of protocol development, as features of the protocol, such as start intensity and intensity increment, are changed.  Feedback is provided by a graphic of the protocol based on computed steady state VO2.  Of course, an ideal protocol would last between 8 to 10 min, have a linear VO2-time slope, and attain a VO2 similar to the subject's anticipated VO2max within the 8 to 10 min time frame.  The mode-specific controls appear once the user selects either of Walking, Running, or Cadence Independent or Dependent Cycle Ergometry.
