•        Which Projection and why?

I choose Albers Equal Area; this projection mostly uses for USA and other large countries with less distortion. Also, it shows the area and distance with less distortion which are practical for transportation data. So, I believe this projection is the best.

 

•        Which software?

Arc Map, Arc catalog, Excel for some tables and graphs.
