My Geography 485L/585L Home Page

This is my second semester in the Civil Engineering graduate program with emphasis on Hydrology.  Spring of 2010, I finished my Bachelor of Science in Earth and Planetary Sciences (geology).

Much of my masters thesis is dedicated to publishing spatial and temporal data via networked servers.  Even though I am comfortable working on the Internet, much of my experience is in design and getting 'under the hood' still feels foreign.  This class will provide structured learning that should assist development of my thesis.

Topics I'm interested in

  • Earth Sciences
  • Visualization Technologies
  • Streamlining data archiving and acquisition
  • Hiking, Camping, Snowboarding
  • Cooking, Gardening, Woodworking

Types of data I have worked with

  • Watersheds
  • Stream networks
  • Temporal (ET towers, wells)
