The jar shown above was only partly glazed, with trickles of glaze in places. Centuries later, the glaze is barely apparent. We've included the jar among our brown glaze pieces given the current color of the surviving glaze, but the potters' intent may have been to produce an olive-green glaze. The jar is 7 inches (17 cm) tall.
