producing more petroleum than ever. Lea County has a long history with the
oil and gas industry that has been a constant source of pressure from
various interest groups. Business is booming, and there is pressure to
expand at a furious pace, while environmentalists people concerned about
health effects want to make sure everyone in the Permian Basin hears their
concerned voice as well.
