5D 10.10 - Voltage Divider:

Demonstrates: Potential affected by resistance.

Description: A rheostat is hooked to a volt meter to show resistance.

5D 10.30 - Rheostats:

Demonstrates: Resistance.

Description: Controls voltage and current.

5D 20.10 - Resistance as a Function of Temperature:

Demonstrates: Resistance.

Description: A small bulb is attached to powersupply by a coil of copper wire. After coil of wire is placed in liquid nitrogen the bulb becomes brighter due to decreased resistance. Put coil in boiling water to increase resistance.

5D 30.10 - Grass Seed Electric Field:

Demonstrates: Electrical field lines.

Description: Seeds are placed in a culture dish with pieces of aluminum foil on bottom. When current is applied they align to the field.

5D 30.15 - Grass Seed Electric Field with Van de Graaff Generator:

Demonstrates: Electrical field lines.

Description: Seeds are placed in a culture dish with pieces of aluminum foil on bottom. When current is applied they align to the field.

5D 40.10 - Jacob's Ladder (Lightening Rod):

Demonstrates: High voltage phenomenon.

Description: A high voltage power source is used to create "lightning" arcs.
