5K 10.15 - Induced EMF:

Demonstrates: Induced electromagnetic fields.

Description: Large permanent magnet is used to induce the field. Use a galvanometer to show the induced field.

5K 10.20 - Induction Coil with Magnet & Galvanometer:

Demonstrates: Faraday's Law.

Description: A magnet and a wire coil are used to measure a magnetic field caused by current.

5K 10.40 - Toroidal Solenoid:

Demonstrates: Amphere's Law.

Description: The toroid is wires wrapped around a doughnut shape.

5K 20.10 - Eddy Currents in Pendulum:

Demonstrates: Eddy currents.

Description: Eddy current field will stop arm when solid aluminum paddle is inserted, other paddles will not stop.

5K 20.25 - Magnet in Eddy Tubes:

Demonstrates: Induced currents.

Description: A magnet and non-magnet are dropped through a copper tube; one falls faster.

5K 20.30 - Jumping Rings:

Demonstrates: Force on a conductor by an electric field.

Description: A ring is placed on the apparatus then the switch is thrown; some fly off, some don't.

5K 30.10 - Transformer:

Demonstrates: Voltage conversion and inductance.

Description: Voltage can be stepped up or down. As voltage is increased current is decreased.

5K 40.40 - DC Moter:

Demonstrates: Direct current.

Description: When power is supplied to the electromagnet a DC motor is put into motion.

5K 40.45 - AC Generator:

Demonstrates: Alternating current.

Description: Meter needle shows that current is alternating.

5K 40.80 - Hand Crank Generator:

Demonstrates: Generators.

Description: Turn the crank on the generator to light the bulb.
