Conclusion and recommendations

From the analysis of distribution map, it is seen that land use is one of the major factor for distribution of nitrogen and phosphorous for lake. Proper management of land use is necessary for controlling external loading of nutrients into lake. But land use is not only the factor, it is necessary to have detail study to figure out other factors. The representation of distribution map will help managers, decision makers for further management and understanding the status of lake.

Since the distribution map prepared is for one time data, it is recommended to collect data of the lake sediments for different seasons and daily basis to show the variation in concentration. Concentration of nutrients accumulated based on land use can be estimated which is essential for management of land use.
